Privacy policy

This policy explains how LoanRadar processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Responsible party

LoanRadar, contactable at hello@loanradar.co.za.

What we collect

  • Clicks on application buttons. When you click a button that goes through /go/, our server records the time, the lender offer, a random click reference, the page the click came from, your browser’s user agent and your IP address. We use this to reconcile commissions with the partner network and to filter automated clicks.
  • Website analytics. If analytics is enabled, we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts page views and events without advertising profiles.

We do not ask for your name, ID number, contact details, income or banking details. Loan applications are made on the lender’s website and are governed by the lender’s own privacy policy.

Direct marketing

We do not send direct marketing and do not sell or share personal information for marketing.

Sharing

The click reference (not your IP address) is passed to the partner network so that the lender can confirm a loan was issued. We do not otherwise share personal information, except where the law requires it.

Retention and security

Click records are kept only as long as needed to reconcile commissions and detect fraud, and are stored on access-controlled servers.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold information about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Email hello@loanradar.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
