Pages on LoanRadar are written and checked by the LoanRadar editorial team. This policy explains where our facts come from and how we keep them accurate.
Sources
- Registration numbers come from the National Credit Regulator register of registrants and from the lender’s own website.
- Loan amounts, terms, ages and requirements come from the lender’s official site or from the lender’s published partner terms. If we cannot confirm a figure, we leave it out and tell you to check the lender’s site.
- Legal statements refer to the National Credit Act 34 of 2005, its regulations and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
Language we avoid
South African credit law prohibits misleading credit advertising. We do not promise approval and we do not describe any loan as free of an affordability assessment. Where people search for such loans, we explain how lenders actually assess applications.
Verification status
Lenders whose registration number we have not yet matched in the register are shown without an application button and with a clear note. Banks are shown for information only and link to the bank’s own website.
Independence
Commercial relationships are described on our How we make money page. They do not decide what we write about a lender.
